Parents often choose preschools carefully. In fact, many good preschools are now teaching Spanish.

Why use Spanish lesson plans?
You may wonder why preschools start teaching Spanish lesson plans at ages 3, 4 and 5. The answer is because the younger a child is when he or she is exposed to the foreign language, then the better they learn. Children at this age have a wonderful ability to readily learn and accept learning a new language such as Spanish. Many parents and preschool teachers are taking advantage of this window of opportunity.

If you are a preschool teacher, then you might want to consider coming up with your own Spanish lesson plans. Even if you are not skilled in speaking the language, you can learn along with your young students. One way to help young students learn Spanish is to make sure you add Spanish words to your weekly Spanish lesson plans. Label everything in the classroom with both the English and the Spanish name. Read a book in both English and Spanish. Quiz the children on these words that they have learned.
As you plan your Spanish lesson plans, make sure you start with the basics. The colors and counting to twenty is a great place to start. Find songs that will teach your students the names of the colors and counting. Before long, you will have young students that are exciting about learning this fun language all because you gave careful consideration to your Spanish lesson plans.
