Pharmacy Schools

There are pharmacy schools all across the United Sates.  Preparing for entrance into one of these schools is hard work.  This is why it is so important to have all of your information together so you know what you are getting yourself into. There are guidelines that you should follow by while you are earning your undergraduate degree and working toward going to a pharmacy school.

Going to a pharmacy school is a big commitment that should not be taken lightly.  Even after you basic courses are taken, it takes years to become a pharmacist.  It is highly recommended that you research the field thoroughly to make sure this is what you really want to do.  Speaking with other pharmacist and others who work in the pharmacy department can help aid you in your decision.  Ask informational questions about situations they encounter, how a normal day is on the job, or even how a busy day is.  If you are able to, volunteering at a pharmacy can help you make an informed decision rather or not you want to go to a pharmacy school.

If you do choose to go to a school, there are plenty of pharmacy schools that you can choose. Every school has its own prerequisites.  Before you apply, make sure that you  meet the qualifications. If you know you will meet the prerequisites after your current semester is over, apply for the school then.  Pharmacy schools will only accept certified transcripts, so having you up to date grades and courses are important.   If you are accepted to the school of your choice, begin preparing yourself for the interview.  The interview is a difficult part of the admissions process.  Being well prepared will help you through it.  Going to pharmacy school is a big commitment, but with a little bit of time, effort, and patience, you will in no time be a pharmacist.
