Music Lesson Plans

Many schools offer some sort of music lesson plans for their students. If you teach in a school district that offers music class, then count yourself lucky. The fact is though, there are many school districts that no longer offer music as a class because of time constraints or money. This is a shame because every student benefits from music lesson plans at all ages. If you are facing this situation, then you can write your own music lesson plans into your daily curriculum.

Music is Important:
There have been many studies that show that music is extremely important to all ages. Young babies that are exposed to music tend to show a higher IQ later in life. In addition, children that take music classes tend to better in math in school. This is why you need music lesson plans for your student. You can add musical instruments; singing and musical lessons into your day and your kids will appreciate your effort. Even preschoolers will delight in music lesson plans. The good news is that even if your children do not go to a weekly music class, there are ways you can incorporate music into your curriculum.

Singing is a great way to hold a young student’s attention. You do not have to be the best singer to teach your children either. You could study the multiplication facts and add a song about multiplication into your music lesson plans. You can even use music in a history lesson. If you are studying about Native Americans, then make and play the instruments that they once used. You could even use your music lesson plans to put on a show for other students or the parents. The important thing is that your students are exposed to music at every chance they get.
